Physiologist, M.Sc.
Hello! I’m
Gail Thorne,
Gail has postgraduate qualifications in Relationship therapy, family counselling, psychosexual therapy and clinical supervision. Gail has extensive experience of working therapeutically with all aspects of relationships experienced by couples, families and individuals.
She trained with the University of Hull and Relate where she continues to counsel and supervise their practitioners and she also works in private practice. She is a Registered Member of the BACP and delivers training nationally for counsellors and therapists.
Gail works with integrative and relational models. Her work with clients is structured around their needs thereby supporting and enabling her clients to make the changes they want. Periods of challenge can be opportunities for change. Knowing how and what to do to effect that change can sometimes need the support of a counsellor who understands relationships and family dynamics. Couple and family counselling supports clients to build better and more fulfilling relationships with your partner, separated co-parent or other family members and can also include supporting clients through separation and divorce.
Gail is also trained as a Psychosexual Therapist. Sex therapy (PST) is a therapy which specifically addresses sexual difficulties and intimacy issues.
